Chelsea have entered into discussions with Brentford winger Said Benrahma, according to reports by RMC.
Frank Lampard is said to be leading the transfer race to the 24-year-old’s signature, ahead of domestic competitors Arsenal and Leicester.
RMC stated that Chelsea have formally expressed an interest in the player to Brentford, who is valued around £31million.
Benrahma, has featured in 34 of Brentford's 37 Championship games this season and has scored ten times, including a hat-trick against Hull.
The former Nice winger has also earned three senior caps for the Algerian national team.
It is believed that Lampard is looking to reinforce his squad this summer as veteran duo Willian and Pedro depart Stamford Bridge.
