football.london rates the Chelsea players after the Blues went crashing out of the Champions League after Real Madrid beat them 4-0 on aggregate in the quarter-final
Kepa Arrizabalaga – Made a few good saves but they are ones you'd expect him to make. Couldn't do much about the goal. 6.
Reece James – Sometimes looked slow on the ball which is probably to do with him not being 100 per cent fit out there. End product wasn't quite at the level we have come to expect. 5.
Wesley Fofana – Dealt a lot better with Vinicius this time. Chelsea seemed to have an actual plan this week. 6.
Thiago Silva – His usual composed self in the middle of a back-three. Dealt with the threat of Benzema well. 6.
Trevoh Chalobah – Distribution was good. Didn't really do much wrong until the second-half where he needlessly dived into a challenge on Rodrygo, which led to the first goal. 5.
Marc Cucurella – His aggression and intensity were exactly what Frank Lampard would have wanted. Like the man on the opposite flank, James, his crossing was not up to scratch. Also, you have to score, Marc. I don't know where he is for the first goal. Strange. 5.
Enzo Fernandez – Does well when on the ball like usual. He would've liked to get himself higher up the pitch more frequently, though. 6.
N'Golo Kante – Looked like Chelsea's most dangerous attacking player in what was an unorthodox system from Lampard. Should probably score early on and again in the second-half. 6.
Mateo Kovacic – Not involved as much as he would've liked. Often found himself as Chelsea's deepest midfielder. 5.
Conor Gallagher – Non-stop running off the ball to try and offer his teammates an outlet in behind the Madrid defence. However, not too influential unfortunately. 5.
Kai Havertz – Hard to really understand what his role was on the night. A very lacklustre performance from the German. 4.
Substitutes
Mykhailo Mudryk – Wasn't a great shot, was it?
Joao Felix – Couple of nice dribbles as usual.
Raheem Sterling – Did he touch the ball?
Mason Mount – Think he should've started. Had the last 15 minutes.
