Chelsea players pose for photos with fans following training session at Havard

Chelsea's players were put through their paces in their first training session in Boston ahead of their 'Final Whistle On Hate' friendly against New England Revolution on Wednesday.

Maurizio Sarri's men then took time to pose for photos with supporters who braved the rain to wait for them outside the training facilities at Havard.

Almost all of the first team, plus several youngsters, boarded a plane the morning after their Premier League final-day draw at Leicester ahead of the match at the Gillette Stadium.

The 6,553-mile trip to the USA has been criticised due to its proximity to the Europa League final in Baku on May 29.

Chelsea beat Frankfurt on penalties to book their place in the showpiece event against Arsenal, but will now have less than two weeks to prepare due to the friendly.

Among those critical of the arrangement has been Sarri himself, who would prefer more rest and preparation time with his team as he bids for his first silverware at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian has secured a top-four finish and also reached the Carabao Cup final - where Chelsea lost to Manchester City - in what has been a mixed debut campaign.
