Lewis Dunk has put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new five-year Brighton deal.
Seagulls captain Dunk, 28, has been heavily linked with a £40m move to Chelsea and also attracted interest from Tottenham.
But Brighton have tied down their influential centre-back on a new contract which will run until 2025.
Sportsmail understands the improved deal will make talisman Dunk the club's top earner.
Dunk came through the ranks at Brighton, making his debut in May 2010 aged 18, and his current deal will extend his long association with the club until he is 33.
He has made 309 appearances for Brighton, scoring 19 goals. He has also earned international recognition, becoming the first Brighton player since 1982 to play for England when he made his debut against the USA in November 2018.
Manager Graham Potter has bolstered Brighton’s central defensive options since his arrival with the signings of Adam Webster and Matt Clarke last year and addition of Joel Veltman from Ajax this summer.
Brighton also have starlet Ben White coming through who they are determined to hang onto amid serious interest from Leeds.
They have had a number of offers for the 22 year-old firmly rejected, the latest being £25m. But Dunk will remain a key figure around which their defence is built.
