Chelsea news: The Blues are still searching for their next permanent manager as Pep Guardiola call is made.

Chelsea have been told to appoint a manager that could rival Pep Guardiola in England. The Blues are still searching for their third permanent head coach of the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital era.

Their shortlist of potential new bosses for the Stamford Bridge hot seat once more includes Mauricio Pochettino but the club are also holding talks with Julian Nagelsmann as well as making contact with Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim.

Speaking to Genting Casino, he said: "Enrique would bring a Spanish style to Chelsea. He’s won trophies, so he has a lot of experience he can bring. He can bring something new too. He also has to know what players he needs to try and win the league, so I think it will be a good fit.

"It’s very difficult now to find the right manager for clubs now, as they don’t have time to show what they can do. Pep Guardiola showed how to win trophies with City. So it will be interesting to see if Enrique can do the same thing. It will be a great challenge for him."

That ended after his contract wasn't renewed following the 2022 World Cup but since then Enrique has made his determination to manage in England clear and remains in with a chance of taking the role at SW6.
