The latest Chelsea transfer questions answered by football.london including the Moises Caicedo situation, midfield signings and whether the Blues will move for a goalkeeper

All of the transfer talk at Chelsea in recent times has been about Moises Caicedo and whether he will move from Brighton this summer.

But there are so many other questions and areas to cover at the club in regards to transfer activity. We are now just over two weeks until the Premier League season begins and there are still so many questions to answer.

With that said, football.london tries to answer all of the questions on Chelsea supporters' lips at the moment. Disclaimer: There are of course more but we will start with the four below...

As mentioned, the Caicedo talk has been the dominant subject thus far this summer for Chelsea. Ever since the Blues missed out on Manuel Ugarte over 50 days ago, the club have been focusing on trying to bring Caicedo in from Brighton.

Chelsea are yet to convince Brighton to sell the Ecuador international, with Seagulls owner Tony Bloom valuing his prized asset at around £100million. The Blues have seen two offers turned down so far, with the latest understood to be in the region of £70m.

In an ideal world, Chelsea would like to add multiple central midfielders before the transfer window closes. Caicedo has been the main focus over the past couple of months, but they would also like to bring another player in a similar position to Stamford Bridge following the departures of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante already this summer.

Going into the summer transfer window, Chelsea were looking at a number of goalkeepers. Andre Onana was on the agenda, and talks were held with Inter Milan over the Cameroonian shot-stopper, but he has since completed a move to Manchester United.

Mike Maignan is someone that has also been looked at. However, AC Milan want to keep hold of the France international; meaning he would not come cheap. Also, Maignan wants to play European football next season which makes things even more complicated for Chelsea.

Giorgi Mamardashvili of Valencia has been looked at and is very much admired by Chelsea. Bayern Munich, though, are also interested in the young Georgian goalkeeper.

While Chelsea are still not convinced on goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to be their No.1 next season, the club will not rush and buy for the sake of it. There is a high chance that the Spaniard will start the season in goal for the Blues.
