Frank Lampard is loving life at Stamford Bridge at the moment.

The former Blues midfielder is trying to bring success back to the club as manager, and he is currently unbeaten in eight games in all competitions.

Their latest result saw Chelsea produce a convincing 4-1 victory against Sheffield United before the international break.

Lampard will be looking to extend his side’s good form when they visit Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United, and regardless he will have an eye cast on the January transfer window.

After a big spending summer it is likely the Blues board will have tightened the purse strings slightly, but Lampard is still expected to have funds at his disposal.

With that in mind here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Napoli open talks regarding Chelsea midfielder

Napoli are sufficiently impressed with Tiemoue Bakayoko that they have already begun negotiations with Chelsea, according to reports.

The French midfielder joined the Blues from Monaco in 2017 but he has struggled to cement a regular place in the starting XI.

Chelsea have opted to loan Bakayoko out in recent seasons and that has seen the midfielder take in spells with AS Monaco and AC Milan.

Now with Napoli, the club have been impressed with his early performances and are already keen to discuss a permanent transfer with Chelsea, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The report states that Napoli paid a €2m loan fee for the player, but there is no option to buy. They are keen to change that, with both La Gazzetta and La Repubblica claiming there is a gentleman’s agreement between the two clubs for an €18m fee.

Crystal Palace targeting Chelsea defender

Crystal Palace are interested in securing the services of Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso, according to reports.

Alonso, 29, joined Chelsea in 2016 but he has found first-team opportunities limited under current Blues boss Frank Lampard.

The arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester has only cemented his situation and has seen suggestions he could leave Stamford Bridge.

Now the Daily Mail are reporting that Crystal Palace are ready to offer him an escape route from west London and a chance at regular first-team football.

The report states that Roy Hodgson is planning for life without Patrick Van Aanholt. The former Chelsea youngster is out-of-contract at the end of the season and it is unclear if he will sign fresh terms.

Chelsea rivalled by Milan and Arsenal for Bayern Munich defender

Chelsea are one of several clubs interested in Jerome Boateng, according to reports.

The German international is in the final year of his current Bayern Munich contract, and the Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea are one of a number of clubs interested in signing him.

According to Sport Bild , Bayern have opted not to extend the defender’s contract, and he will now walk away from the club next summer.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are vying for the player’s signature, while Milan Live cite the Italian giants as taking an interest in him.
