Italy international Federico Chiesa has reportedly rejected the offer of a new contract from Fiorentina.
The Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Chiesa has declined the chance to renew his deal at the Artemio Franchi, sparking new life into the rumours linking him away from Fiorentina.
President Rocco Commisso, who previously stated that he wanted to keep Chiesa for many seasons, was reportedly prepared to offer him €4m a year and tie him down on a new deal extending his stay until 2024.
Chiesa, who scored his first goal for Italy during the last international break, is currently tied down to contract expiring in June 2022.
The right winger has previously been linked with at move to the league leaders Juventus and the Viola was trying to complete a new deal to fend off possible suitors before the upcoming transfer market in January.
