Burnley striker Chris Wood has been offered to Lazio in a potential summer move, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report claims the New Zealand international's representatives have informed the Serie A club that their client is keen on a move to the Italian capital.
In response, the Lazio board will consider submitting a bid after head coach Simone Inzaghi expressed his desire to fring the imposing forward to Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio have secured Champions League qualification with a fourth-place league finish, and are looking to bolster their squad in order to compete in Europe.
The Biancocelesti have been reliant on marksman Ciro Immobile, who scored 39 goals in 44 games in 2019-20, and the addition of Chris Wood would provide some much-needed competition.
The 28-year-old forward has netted 14 Premier League goals this term and has recorded 38 in total since joining the Clarets from Leeds in 2017.
Wood has scored at least 10 top flight goals in successive seasons and has scored 139 goals over 401 club appearances during an itinerant career.
I f a deal can be agreed, the Burnley star would replace Felipe Caicedo, who is expected to join a club in Qatar over the off-season.
