Former Chelsea centre back Andreas Christensen has been officially presented as Barcelona's latest signing.

The 26-year-old played 161 games for the Blues, winning the Champions League, Europa League and Club World Cup in six years at Stanford Bridge.

He has now signed a four-year contract with Barca and has a £420 million release clause.

A video from the presentation posted on the club's official twitter page shows Christensen dressed in formalwear with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at their training ground.

It came after he was earlier seen giving a thumbs up while undergoing a medical.

The Catalan club have also released pictures of Christensen holding his new side's shirt, though it is not yet apparent what number he will wear as the shirt was numberless.

Speaking at the unveiling, Christensen said: 'I am very proud. It has been a dream for a very long time, since I was a kid.'

'I'm really thankful to the President and the Vice President for doing a good job and making this possible. Its a dream come true and I can't wait to get started.'

The Danish international is Barcelona's second signing in as many days, after Franck Kessie arrived from Italian Champions AC Milan on Wednesday.

It is notable that both players arrived on free transfers, as Barcelona wrestle with financial issues that limit their ability to sign players.
