And Christine was filled with pride when her husband Frank landed the 'huge deal' when she discussed her excitement on Loose Women on Thursday.
While she was clearly ecstatic and unable to stop smiling, she confessed it was going to be a 'stressful job' for her husband to take on.
She said: 'It has been mad. It's quite a big deal it's been a bit of a whirlwind couple of days, but yeah he's there now, it's a huge deal for all of us.
'We had the most remarkable year in Derby all the fans were fantastic, we were very privileged to have that year.
'A glorious job for but a stressful one. There weren't many other jobs that would have pulled him away from Derby.'
As Christine attended to her weekday duties as a panellist on Loose Women, Frank was in charge of holding his first press conference as the Chelsea manager.
His sensational return to the club was made official on Thursday, much to the delight of many Chelsea fans.
The star went down in history as Chelsea's leading goalscorer during the 13 years he played for the football team.
