It makes sense to replace Mike Dean as fourth official for Spurs' trip to Chelsea so soon after his altercation with Mauricio Pochettino.
It is common practice for a referee to be rescheduled if they have problems with a coach or manager, the thinking being to save any tensions from escalating.
Ordinarily, these changes would go unnoticed if the matches were seven days apart as the appointments are usually announced on a Monday. However, because this game is Wednesday, Dean's involvement was already known.
I am, though, sure that the PGMOL will have Dean refereeing Spurs in the near future.
