Antonio Conte believes his side can seriously challenge Juventus for the Serie A title this season if he gets his top two targets according to a report in today's print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Conte currently has Inter sitting top of the table after 17 games played. They are joint top with Juventus but are in first due to having a superior goal difference.

Conte's top targets are Chelsea's Marcos Alonso and Barcelona's Arturo Vidal but deals for both players will certainly be difficult.

Chelsea want a deal worth €40 million in total between the fee itself and bonuses for Spaniard Alonso whilst Barcelona want €25 million for Chilean international Vidal.

Inter have no intention of paying anywhere near that for the two players and are willing to spend a maximum of €20 million on Alonso and €12 million on Vidal.

The report goes on to state that Inter could raise funds through player sales. Matteo Politano is understood to have some interest whilst one of Borja Valero, Roberto Gagliardini or Matias Vecino could leave, depending on what offers arrive.
