Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr career could kick into gear as early as Thursday following his record-breaking £175m-a-year move to the club.

Rudi Garcia's face off against Al Ta'ee at home in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday and will be keen for their new Portuguese superstar to build up some crucial minutes ahead of a top-of-the-table clash against Al Shabab next Saturday.

Ronaldo signed for the Saudi giants just over a month after his acrimonious exit from Manchester United, which came in the wake of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan criticising the club and manager Erik ten Hag.

Following their home clash against Al Ta'ee, Al Nassr must wait two weeks until they next host a match at Mrsool Park.

The Saudi club will no doubt want to unveil Ronaldo on Thursday before having to wait a fortnight to show off the new superstar to their fans.

Should Ronaldo miss out versus Al Ta'ee, he will likely make his home debut against Ettifaq on January 21.

It is only a matter of time until the five-time Ballon d'Or winner plays his first match outside of a European league, having starred for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus previously during his illustrious career.

Al Nassr's excited fans chanted Ronaldo's name and performed his trademark 'Siiiu' celebration in the stands on New Year's Eve, as they watched their side win 1-0 against Al Khaleej.

The supporters appropriately waited until the seventh minute of the match to chant the 37-year-old's name, which represents the kit number Ronaldo will continue to wear in Saudi Arabia.
