Crystal Palace have agreed a £10.5million deal to sign Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada.

Sportsmail understands the central midfielder will join on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the option of a further two years.

Palace have paid €12m for the 20-year-old Frenchman, who is believed to be having a medical on Monday.

As reported by Sportsmail, the position has been identified as a key area to bolster by manager Patrick Vieira

Ahamada joined Stuttgart from Juventus and the French Under-18 international has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season for the Bundesliga side.

During that time he has also managed two goals and two assists in the German top-flight for Bruno Labbadia's side.

The German outfit currently sit in 15th place, outside of the relegation play-off spot on goal difference.

Born in Marseille, he came through Juventus’ academy, with Stuttgart initially signing the midfielder on loan before the move became permanent in 2021.

Palace will be without star forward Wilfried Zaha for up to six weeks, after the Ivorian winger suffered a hamstring tear that will keep him out until early March, as Sportsmail's Adrian Kajumba reports.

The London club have been dependent on their key man this season, with Zaha their leading goal scorer and starting all but one Premier League match.
