The striker has just 12-months remaining on his contract and his importance to the side is clear, meaning there will have to be an enticing project to get him to commit to. "That's down to the club," the striker said on recent speculation over his future in Lilywhite.

The Telegraph has reported that an exit for the midfielder looks likely in the window, for a fee between £45 million and £60 million. With the side staring down at relegation, it could be a move from Levy that would improve the side and show ambition, something that could be key to keeping Kane.
