Tottenham reject improved Harry Kane bid from Bayern Munich
Tottenham Hotspur have turned down the latest bid from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane, football.london understands.
The German side have made a series of bids for the England captain, culminating in an improved offer reported to be worth £86m plus add-ins. However that has now been rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Reports in Germany suggested that was set to be Bayern's final bid for Kane and it now remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga club will return with another offer or try their luck in January to get the forward to sign a pre-contract ahead of a free summer move.
The Tottenham striker did not want his future to be in question by the time Spurs' first Premier League game against Brentford came around this coming weekend. If Kane lines up on Sunday for Ange Postecoglou's side then the expectation is that he will remain at the club this summer as the player does not want cause problems for the new head coach with a late move.

Dejan Kulusevski has stated that the Tottenham team will do "everything" to make Harry Kane stay at the club this summer. Now in the final 12 months of his Spurs contract, Bayern Munich are intent on striking a deal with Daniel Levy to lure the 30-year-old to the Allianz Arena.
Speaking to the media after the game, the Swede was asked about Kane's future and admitted that it would be beneficial to have his future sorted out ahead of the new season.
"You saw. He scored four goals, so very good! Nah, he's unbelievable. Honestly, his mentality... I can learn from him like everybody," said the 23-year-old. "He just goes out and performs day in, day out. He's a true professional."
