England's friendly against Denmark at Wembley on March 31 is expected to be called off after the announcement that Danish football will shut down until March 29.
The announcement by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of all public activities being restricted or completely shut down for the next two weeks include the expectation that international friendlies at the end of the month will be cancelled.
These cases have bee clarified with UEFA, while all Danish football matches have been cancelled for the next two weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The statutory director of the Danish Football Association, the DBU, Kenneth Reeh said: 'We do not want to risk passing the infection on to the weakest in the community, nor risk anything for our national team players, our fans or others who work with our national team.
'We are in dialogue with UEFA with the practicalities of both the youth tournaments and the matches of the men's team and expect clarification as soon as possible.
“Denmark is in a sad and special situation, which of course also affects Danish football. Like everyone else in society, we take the situation very seriously and, of course, take the necessary reservations.
'That is why we are closing down as many football activities as possible over the next few weeks.'
So far, the FA have confirmed that they expect England's friendlies against Italy on March 27 and the Denmark game four days later to go ahead.
However, the announcement of every football game in England being held behind closed doors is expected to be imminent, as the government change their approach to the coronavirus spread.
