Due to the ongoing Puma deal, Adidas were only able to release the Arsenal home jersey in August this year. In 2020, however, the Arsenal 2020-21 home kit will be released much earlier, in May or June. We might even see it being launched (and debuted) before the end of the current campaign.
The Arsenal 2020-21 home shirt will feature a darker shade of red while keeping the club's traditional look of a red body and white sleeves. A subtle pattern print will appear on the red parts of the Arsenal 20-21 home jersey, while a gold stylized gun graphic is set to be included on the back neck.
The color brings back memories of such iconic pieces as the 2005-06 Highbury Farewell shirt. More recently, Puma experimented with different shades of red on the Arsenal home shirt, although they never went full dark red.
It's another thing with Adidas as the Arsenal 2020-2020 home kit will be predominantly 'active maroon', a pretty dark shade of red. It was used on the Bayern Munich pre-match shirt and the hoodie below.
Definitely not quite as dark as the aforementioned 05-06 home, the Arsenal 20-21 kit will nonetheless make for a change compared to this season's. The choice of color also likely means that Adidas will go for a more original design and not base the Arsenal 2020-21 home shirt on one of the brand's Gunners' classics - since those were all in the club's 'default' red.
