David de Gea equalled Peter Schmeichel's clean sheet record for Manchester United in a scintillating performance as United beat Leicester City.
The Spanish stopper was in top form during United's 3-0 victory, making a number of crucial saves in the first half to keep his side in the game.
De Gea produced top-class stops from both deny both Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho, when it looked like on both occasions that the Foxes would take the lead.
His displays proved the platform for United to go on to win the game thanks to two goals from the in-form Marcus Rashford and another from Jadon Sancho, to see Erik ten Hag's side run out 3-0 winners.
The clean sheet proved to be a major milestone for De Gea, who notched his 180th shutout for the club, putting him level with club legend Schmeichel.
There had been some confusion on De Gea's numbers, with some outlets claiming he'd already drawn level with Schmeichel. However, United confirmed this week that he was still one clean sheet away from the achievement.
The confusion centered around a game with Arsenal in May 2015, where De Gea left the field with an injury with his side 1-0 up, and according to Opta, keepers have to complete the full 90 minutes or it doesn't count as a clean sheet - meaning it couldn't be added to the Spanish keeper's haul.
De Gea's record-equalling clean sheet came on the 32-year-old's 521st appearance for the club, after signing for the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee of £18.9million.
After some early difficulties, De Gea has gone on to draw level with one of United's greatest ever goalkeepers, while also collecting a glut of trophies during his time at Old Trafford.
He was part of the last Untied squad to win the Premier League in 2013, and has also collected an FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and a Europa League medal with the club.
The win over Leicester means United are now just three points behind Manchester City in the table, and five-off table toppers Arsenal.
They won't return to Premier League action until March 5th - when they travel to Anfield to play Liverpool - but before that meet Barcelona in the second leg of their Europa League play-off, before clashing with Newcastle in next Sunday's Carabao Cup Final.
