Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is in talks to sign a contract extension at the club, and revealed that he's representing himself through the negotiations after his agent was arrested in August.
Patrick de Koster was arrested on suspicion of money laundering, use of false documents and forgery, and De Bruyne has opted to take matters into his own hands due to the fact that he's 'happy' at the club.
The Manchester City vice-captain signed for the club from Wolfsburg in 2015 for £55million, and signed a new contract in 2018.
In his time at the club he's won two Premier League titles and was named the PFA Players' Player of the Year last season for scoring 13 goals and providing 20 assists.
De Bruyne suggested in May that his future could lie elsewhere due to Manchester City's Champions League ban, but it was overturned by the court of arbitration for sport.
His contract expires in 2023, but he's hoping to strike a new deal that could see him become one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.
'I am at a good club. Good owners. Good club. We are a bit in talks, not advanced,' De Bruyne told Belgian TV station VTM Nieuws.
'I am happy in Manchester. At the moment I am doing the talks myself. I would like to stay with the club, so it's easy.
'If I didn't want to stay, it would take someone to mediate. But when you want to stay, it's not so difficult.'
De Bruyne played in Belgium's 2-0 victory over England in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night that ended the Three Lions' chances of winning their group.
