Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea looked like he wanted Goodison Park to swallow him up after his horrendous mistake gifted an early lead to Everton on Sunday.
The Spanish goalkeeper smashed his clearance against Toffees forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin and into his own net and looked distraught after yet another high-profile mistake that has cost the Red Devils a goal this season.
De Gea was also in the firing line against Watford in December when he attempted to catch a floated cross but fumbled it into the goal.
There had only been three minutes on the clock in United's game away at Everton when the goalkeeper collected a ball from Harry Maguire in his own area, looking to thump it high up the pitch and get an attack going.
Unfortunately for De Gea, striker Calvert-Lewin was on the prowl looking to hunt him down and giving him little time on the ball.
As the Spaniard looked for a target and was under pressure to boot the ball, he ended up smacking it into the Everton star and watched on in despair as it looped into his own net.
The 29-year-old's reaction said it all, walking back to his goal and bowing his head.
As expected, the world of social media hasn't resisted the temptation to give the goalkeeper some stick. Some United fans have turned on their man in the sticks, saying he was 'finished' and others joking about the crisis Spain face with compatriot Kepa Arrizabalaga also struggling for form.
Piers Morgan was quick to criticise De Gea, saying he should lose his world class tag and adding that he wasn't even the best goalkeeper in Manchester.
'How many more horrendous cock-ups does De Gea need to make before he loses the 'best goalkeeper in the world' tag?' he wrote on Twitter. 'He's not even the best goalkeeper in Manchester.'
A United fan sujggested that De Gea had been the reason the club missed out on Champions League football last season after a mistake against Chelsea, writing: 'So you mean to tell me De Gea cost us top four against Chelsea last season and he may very well have just done it again this season? He is soooo finished.'
Calvert-Lewin couldn't believe his luck after netting the opening goal of the game for Carlo Ancelotti's side, which gave them the perfect start before Bruno Fernandes grabbed the equaliser for the Red Devils.
