AC Milan and Italy great Alessandro Nesta is in talks with Roberto de Zerbi about joining the new Tottenham manager's backroom staff.
De Zerbi was named new manager of Spurs yesterday, penning a deal understood to run until 2031.
Tuttosport says a contract offer has already been tabled to World Cup winner Nesta, who is now considering the proposal.
Nesta, over the last six years, has been head coach of the likes of Monza, Frosinone and Reggiana.
De Zerbi will take charge of his first Spurs game at Sunderland a week on Sunday.
He said upon his appointment: “Our short-term priority is to climb the Premier League table, which will be the complete focus until the final whistle of the last game of the season. I’m looking forward to getting out on the training pitch and working with these players to achieve that.”
