Dembele sets dribbles record (11) for 2018/19 La Liga season in Leganes win

Ousmane Dembele has really turned his situation at Barcelona around. The French winger was having numerous problems both on and off the pitch at the start of the season.

On the pitch, Dembele was flattering to deceive. Quite simply, he did not look like a player that Barcelona had paid £103.5 million for in 2017.

And off the pitch, the Frenchman was believed to have a gaming addiction; causing him to turn up late to training on more than one occasion.

However, he has put those problems behind him and he is now flourishing on the pitch.

The 21-year-old has forced his way into the Barcelona side and is now a regular in the first team.

He was handed another start against Leganes on Sunday and managed to net the opener as Barcelona ran out 3-1 winners.

That means Dembele has now scored six times in his last nine games in all competitions.

Dembele only played 69 minutes on Sunday before going off with an ankle injury.

However, despite missing a chunk of the game, Dembele still managed to record an impressive statistic during his time on the pitch.

The Frenchman was at his entertaining best against Leganes, and it turns out he made 11 successful dribbles, more than any other player in a La Liga match this season.
