Dortmund have aimed a sly dig at Messi via Twitter using video footage of him fouling on Witsel.
Days earlier, Witsel himself had posted a photo of he and one Dortmund player defencing Messi together, saying "The only way to stop Messi".
Messi committed a foul on Witsel with several kicks from his back in Barcelona's draw with Dortmund.
Dortmund Twitter retweeted Witsel's tweet with the video footage and said: "The only way to stop Witsel", along with a cheeky smile.
