Borussia Dortmund will throw a Champions League Final party, regardless of the result at Wembley and have invited former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The German coach spent seven years in charge of Dortmund, and led the side to their last Champions League final in 2013. That game was also at Wembley but Klopp's team fell short against national rivals Bayern Munich in a 2-1 defeat.
The Bundesliga giants intend to sign off their season in style, no matter the scoreline against Real Madrid in the showpiece event of the European season. The Sun reports that the team have booked West End venue Outernet, and extended an invite to their former boss who is enjoying time off following his Liverpool departure.
The venue describes itself as an entertainment district and is home to 'public galleries featuring giant Ultra HD screens capable of delivering the most jaw-dropping audio-visual experiences in the world', in addition to a '2000 capacity state-of the-art live music venue'. Dortmund's stars are said to have only committed to a two-hour stay with plans to go clubbing however.
Klopp has received an invite to the party, having already being asked to attend Wembley. The 56-year-old will take the stands rather than the dugout and hope to cheer his former side to victory.
"I have got an invitation now for the Champions League final," he said. "They said, 'I don't think he will come', but of course I will come, it's the Champions League final and I have nothing to do really!
"But then I need more tickets too. It's the first time in my life I'm asking for tickets - normally it's me who is always being asked! It's a really strange feeling. I never did, I never have had to ask for tickets. Now I am asking it really feels strange.
"That's one thing, besides that we didn't plan anything (after he leaves Liverpool). At the Euros we will watch games and have tickets for a few games. Being in Germany for a long time, meeting friends, nothing spectacular. Just easy-going, not planning a pre-season, I will definitely not do that, and not being involved in any transfer talks, which is such a difference. I'm really looking forward to it."
