Dutch great René van de Kerkhof has declared Real Madrid want to sign PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo.
Gakpo has been linked with a January move to Manchester United.
But Van de Kerkhof says Real Madrid are set to bid for the Holland World Cup attacker.
He said on the popular podcast he shares with brother Willy: "I have reliable Spanish sources that report that Real wants to get Cody Gakpo as (Karim) Benzema's successor."
His brother Willy seconded the information.
He stated, “What I heard is that they have a serious interest in Gakpo there, but PSV certainly should not sell him for less than €75 million this winter. Although that amount is not a problem for that club."
