The draw for the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup will take place on national radio, it has been revealed.
The fifth round draw will take place on Thursday, October 31, live on Zoe Ball's Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 at 8.45am.
Former Liverpool and Man City goalkeeper David James will be in the studio to help Zoe Ball conduct the draw.
James has been appearing on popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing and he admits that he can't wait to help make the draw with Ball.
James said: “I have so many great memories of the Carabao Cup and I'm proud to be part of the history of the competition. Every year it's always an exciting competition to watch, so I'm looking forward to seeing how my old clubs get on.”
Manchester City are one of five teams to have already confirmed their place in the last eight of the competition after beating Southampton on Tuesday night.
A brace from Sergio Aguero and a Nicolas Otamendi strike ensured the holders continued their hunt for a third-straight Carabao Cup title.
Elsewhere, there were also wins for Leicester City, Everton, Oxford United and Colchester United, with the League Two outfit reaching the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 1974.
Manchester United are in action on Wednesday when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge whilst Liverpool host Arsenal and Aston Villa take on Wolves in a tasty-looking fixture list.
Fixtures for the quarter-finals will take place week commencing December 16.
