Rob Edwards remained confident that exciting talent Mateus Mane would stay with Wolves despite their relegation to the Championship next season.
Mane has been a glimmer of light in what has been an extremely poor campaign for Wolves, with the 18-year-old netting three times in 29 appearances across all competitions.
He has also created 25 chances in 2025-26, a total only bettered by Hugo Bueno (39) and Jackson Tchatchoua (27) for Wolves, while his 31 completed dribbles also rank as the third-highest within Edwards' ranks.
That has seen the talented teenager linked with a move away from Molineux in the summer, with Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly interested in securing his services.
Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also linked with a move for Mane, though his contract with Wolves does not run out until 2029.
Asked whether he wanted Mane to be a part of Wolves' future, Edwards said: "Yep. He will want to be here because this is the right place for him at the moment.
"We are confident we will be working with him next season. He certainly made a difference with the goal and the penalty against Fulham.
"Overall, I thought his performance was really good. He showed lots of endeavour and had a brilliant moment of quality.
"He is intelligent, and the exciting thing is there's a lot more to come from him. He has been a big plus for us this year in a really challenging period."

Mane will be hoping to catch the eye once again on the final day, with Wolves making the trip to Turf Moor to take on fellow relegated side Burnley.
Wolves have been bottom of the table since August 31st (266 consecutive days coming into this match) and have been at the foot of the Premier League for 272 days this season.
It is the most consecutive days and most days overall a side has been bottom in a single top-flight campaign, yet a victory would see them go ahead of Burnley to finish 19th.
But the Clarets more than held their own during their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Monday, a result that, in the end, helped to crown Mikel Arteta's team as the Premier League champions.
It was Burnley's 24th Premier League defeat of the season, equalling their most league defeats in a season, also losing 24 in 2009-10 and 2023-24, though interim boss Michael Jackson believes there are solid foundations to build on moving forward.
"Over the last two games, they have been positive performances. We knew the challenge that we were coming up against Arsenal," Jackson said.
"A lot of people probably thought we might give up after what happened with the relegation and accused the boys of not trying, so I am really pleased, and the last game as well, to show what they are actually capable of.
"The capability they have got and showed, that has to be a minimum for them. At this level, they can do it, and they have shown that. They showed it against Villa."

Burnley – Zian Flemming
Flemming is the first Burnley player to score 10+ goals in a Premier League campaign since Chris Wood in 2020-21 (12), and he will want to end his campaign strongly.
Against Arsenal, he finished with team-high totals for duels won (seven) and aerial duels won (four), while only Loum Tchaouna (two) created more chances than his one.
Wolves – Mateus Mane
Mane scored his third Premier League goal of the season against Fulham last time out, meaning all of those have come from outside the box.
He is just the second Portuguese teenager to score as many goals from outside the box in a single campaign, after Cristiano Ronaldo in 2003-04 (also three).
