Enzo told Chelsea that his relationship with the dressing room had broken down irreparably when he forced a move to Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.
Further details show that the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder also told the club that he had privately communicated with former manager Enzo Maresca and submitted two written transfer requests before completing the £125 million transfer.
The Daily Mail Sport attempted to contact Enzo's agent, Javier Pastore, on Friday afternoon for a response to these claims.
The news comes as Chelsea announced a new contract with Pedro Neto, partly as a reward for his loyalty, after Manchester City had also shown interest in the 26-year-old Portuguese winger this summer.
Unlike Enzo, Neto had previously discussed a contract extension with Chelsea, but no agreement was ever reached. Now the winger has been given a six-year contract with the first five years fixed and the sixth year as an option to renew, along with a pay rise.
Before Neto, Pedro, Reece James, Caicedo and Palmer had all completed their pay rises and contract extensions. More players are expected to follow suit in the coming weeks and months, with Colwill also in line for a pay rise.
This season, under new manager Xabi Alonso, Neto has performed well. He has been primarily deployed as a wing-back, making 5 appearances in all competitions and scoring 2 goals.
Alonso praised him at Friday's pre-Hull City press conference, saying the player has multiple "abilities" and "works well" with his teammates.
Chelsea had also discussed a pay rise and contract extension with Enzo and his team, but unlike the others, the two sides were never able to reach an agreement.
Last season, Enzo's relationship with Chelsea became strained after he publicly courted Real Madrid. Chelsea subsequently suspended him for two matches over the comments.
Real Madrid later issued a statement insisting they had no interest in Enzo.
However, Manchester City did not give up on signing him during the summer transfer window. Despite negotiations dragging on until the final two days of the window, the two sides finalized a £125 million deal, and Maresca got his most wanted signing.
The Argentine international will now feature in this Sunday's first Manchester derby.
