Everton 'set to loan Moise Kean back to Juventus' one year after £27.5m deal

Everton are considering the possibility of sending struggling striker Moise Kean back to Italian football on loan for a year.

Kean arrived last August for a pricey fee of £27.5million, though has failed to settle at Goodison and largely found himself on the fringes of the squad.

Now the Toffees are poised to allow the 20-year-old to go back to Juventus in hope of regaining some form, according to reports in Italian daily Tuttosport.

The publication state that Everton are hopeful of Kean getting more game time, which cannot currently be promised under Carlo Ancelotti.

A potential move would also suit Juve, who it is said are lacking in homegrown players to list as part of their Champions League B youth squad for the coming season.

Kean, who came through the youth ranks at Juve after moving from Torino, would qualify as homegrown status.

Juve would then look to put the striker back into their senior ranks, in hope of making an impact from the substitutes bench and providing cover for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

New manager Andrea Pirlo is said to be looking to make a clear-out of the senior team, with Dybala among those highlighted as potentially transfer listed.

Pirlo has already ruthlessly moved to terminate the contracts of Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira, as the Old Lady look to make a fresh start and reaffirm their dominance in Italian football.

Prior to his move from Juve to Everton, Kean had only ever played 21 official games for the senior squad, scoring eight goals.

In 29 Premier League games Kean has just two goals and two assists to his name.
