Granit Xhaka was once again public enemy number one after being showed a needless red-card for an act of petulance in Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at home to Burnley on Sunday evening, and in the aftermath of such madness, Patrice Evra recalled how once Thierry Henry switched the television off when he saw the Swiss midfielder was Gunners captain.

Arsenal's defeat was their seventh in 12 league matches this season, leaving them in 15th spot in the table heading into the notoriously difficult Christmas period.

Speaking in his position as a pundit with Sky Sports, Evra detailed just what Henry's feelings on the midfielder are.

"One day Thierry Henry invited me to his house to watch an Arsenal game, the first image we saw was Xhaka leading the Arsenal team as captain and Henry turned off the television," Evra stated on Sky Sports.

"I asked him, 'what happened'?

"He replied that he could not watch Xhaka captain his team and then he turned the screen off, we didn't end up watching the game, but it tells you everything about what a legend of the club thinks of him, today he disappointed his team and not for the first time."
