Former Roma star Abel Balbo says Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez should be playing in Serie A.
Alvarez joined City in January from River Plate and has won the World Cup with Argentine.
“I expected Alvarez to really emerge in this tournament, as Julian has been an extraordinary player for five years already," former Fiorentina and Roma striker Balbo told Libero newspaper.
“I was certain he'd make his mark at the World Cup. I don't understand how the Italian clubs continue to be caught napping on the transfer market, as they could've signed him a year ago for €15m."
