Fans go mad for Frenkie de Jong after Holland midfielder bamboozles Toni Kroos

Frenkie de Jong gave Toni Kroos a taste of what can be expected in next season's El Clasico derby, as he humiliated the Real Madrid man on the international stage.

De Jong's Holland faced Kroos' Germany in Amsterdam, and the pair engaged in a battle of the midfield as both nations went head to head in a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying clash.

A moment late in the match caught the attention of the football world, as De Jong received a pass and waited for Kroos to draw himself into a challenge, before leaving him tackling shadows.

The slender-framed playmaker dropped his shoulder and pivoted around the ball, knocking it effortlessly into space with a graceful little touch and dribbling away.

World Cup winner Kroos was left stumbling over the touchline as De Jong surged forward and sliced open the Germany defence with a weighted through-ball.

The scenes will be greatly welcomed by fans of Barcelona, who will have the delight of seeing De Jong at the Nou Camp next season.

The Catalan giants secured the signing of the starlet from Ajax for next season, fighting off fierce competition from the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain.
