Fans go wild after Dembele scores incredible solo goal against Tottenham

Ousmane Dembele has had his fair share of troubles off the pitch in recent times but on it he is continuing to show signs of promise.

The 21-year-old's career at Barcelona appeared in danger last month when he failed to turn up for training, but now he has given the Catalan giants something to think about.

Dembele has been in a rich vein of form recently and was at his best again on Tuesday evening, scoring a stunning solo goal in their Champions League draw with Tottenham.

He opened the scoring in the first half after picking Kyle Walker-Peters' pocket in his own half and running almost the length of the pitch before showing composure to cut inside on to his favoured left foot to slot past Hugo Lloris.

The La Liga champions still have reservations about Dembele's attitude but if they believe he has half the potential as some fans do, then they may just think twice about letting him slip through their net.

Hundreds of people waxed lyrical about the Barcelona forward on social media after watching his terrific solo goal with some even comparing his ability to Kylian Mbappe's.

One user said: 'He doesn't even train and he pulls this out of the bag.' Another wrote: 'If he got his attitude right, he would be unstoppable.'

Dembele was made aware of his responsibilities by the club during a meeting between Barcelona chiefs and his representatives two weeks ago.

It is understood that he has no intentions to leave Barca and the club do not want to sell him now after initial reports suggested they were open to letting him go.
