Barcelona are famed for creating the best young players in world football and it seems that we could have another Lionel Messi on our hands.

La Masia is the youth academy for the Catalan side and has produced stars such as Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Messi, along with more recent starlets such as Gavi, Pedri and Ansu Fati who are currently shining at first team level.

However, a sneak peak at the club's under-9 side shows that this supply line of talent is at no risk of slowing down.

Highlights have emerged of the junior side facing Sants in the U9 Premier League with the young Barcelona side running riot.

As well as bagging a 4-0 win in the contest, the clear talent on show was quite remarkable for a team who are yet to even reach double-digits in age.

While all of the players looked incredible, it was Barcelona's number six on the day who stole the show.

With trademark long hair, the prodigious talent showed obvious similarities with Messi as he kept the ball glued to his boot as he weaved and jinked his way through the opposition defence.

It was these talents that led football fans to spot the talent from a mile away.

One fan said: “The no. 6 is so good but just unlucky not to get a goal.”

Another described him as 'different gravy,' while a third called him 'a danger.'

One supporter even said that he was destined for the top, saying: 'number six has a future Ballon d'Or'.

But it wasn't just the mini-Messi who attracted praise with the whole team being lauded.

One fan said: “What under 9? Those are top professionals,” while another simply said: “Ballers at 9 years old.”
