Fans up in arms after Paul Pogba is included in PFA Team of the Year

Fans have roundly criticised the inclusion of Paul Pogba in the PFA Team of the Year after he came the only player not from Liverpool or Manchester City to be named.

The Frenchman has had a mixed season for the Old Trafford club, contributing 13 goals and nine assists in 32 league games, but also failing to contribute for long spells and even falling out of the team under previous boss Jose Mourinho.

One fan was particularly critical, claiming Pogba 'Scores a few penalties and thinks he's world class.'

Another claimed that 'I wouldn't include him in my son's school team' after the announcement of the side.

Six Manchester City players made the side, including keeper Ederson, centre-back Aymeric Laporte, midfielders Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva and attackers Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero.

Tiotle rivals Liverpool - who sit one point behind with three games to play - have Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in defence and Sadio Mane up front.

While Pogba made the side, standout performers such as Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Son Heung-min of Tottenham were not included.
