Fascinating footage has emerged of how the Real Madrid medical staff treated Antonio Rudiger's significant injury sustained during the game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Rudiger scored a 95th minute equaliser but was left bloodied and bruised after being clattered into by Shakhtar goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.
The centre-back reportedly required 20 stitches and posted a picture of himself travelling home with a bandage covering half of his face accompanied by the caption: 'We alive'.
The video posted by Real shows how the medical staff dealt with the situation.
Firstly they ensured that Rudiger was escorted to the treatment room as quickly as possible.
The 29-year-old was unable to see, which meant that he had to be guided to the table.
Several of of Rudiger's Real team-mates showed their concern for him.
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric found it difficult to watch as Rudiger received treatment from medics, with Kroos wincing.
David Alaba and Eden Hazard were also present as Rudiger was attended to. Alaba gave Rudiger a kiss and manager Carlo Ancelotti also checked in on him.
Following the treatment, Rudiger was eventually able to go to the away dressing room.
