Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has opened up on what he thinks went wrong with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
And ahead of Spurs' clash against Olympiacos in the Champions League this evening, Ferdinand was on hand to provide some analysis on Portuguese manager's time at United.
"He came across very grubby. When I first saw Mourinho he was at a rival club but I loved watching him on TV, in his press conferences you would tune in and it's box office," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
"You loved hearing him speak after games, before games he was insightful, and there was a spark about him.
"Then all of a sudden it has changed to being very miserable, downbeat and grumpy. Players feed off a manager's charisma and how they promote themselves in the public's glare, I just thought he was very negative in the way his body language was at the end."
