Fiorentina are targeting Sporting CP right-sided winger Raphinha with negotiations to lower the €25m asking price.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, talks are progressing well for the 22-year-old talent.
Their first choices had been Matteo Politano of Inter or Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, but those clubs refused to sell.
Raphinha is a right-sided winger with a strong left foot, so can cut inside to cross or shoot, as requested by Coach Vincenzo Montella.
The asking price is believed to be €25m, but can be lowered significantly in negotiations.
He is Brazilian, but already has an Italian passport, so would not take up a non-EU slot.
This pursuit of more wide forwards after the arrival of Franck Ribery fuels growing rumours Federico Chiesa could be sold to Juventus.
