The Premier League season has finally wrapped up after a gruelling eight-month schedule, with players heading off on their holidays before Euro 2020 dominates the summer.
But for those not going to the multi-city international tournament, the summer transfer window represents an opportunity to seal a move ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
From July 1, teams will be able to register new players and there will be clubs who prefer to do their business early, with Liverpool already announcing the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.
English clubs will be scouring all over Europe for the best talent available and more now than ever, grabbing a bargain could be crucial due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on clubs’ finances.
That makes the task twice as hard for recruitment chiefs and managers in searching for ways to help strengthen their squads over the summer.
But one of the most potent areas for recruiting is LaLiga, with Manchester City and Tottenham both turning to Spain for their main deals last summer.
Mirror Sport looks at five players who could soon make the move from LaLiga…
Sergio Ramos
Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified Ramos as his top target as the Manchester City boss looks to recover from their Champions League final heartbreak.
The 35-year-old appears to be heading towards the exit at the Santiago Bernbaeu with no agreement at present to extend his deal, which expires at the end of June.
ESPN report that Guardiola is keen to add some experience to his backline in their quest for European glory after losing 1-0 to Chelsea in Porto on May 29.
While Guardiola has a wealth of options in defence with Ruben Dias, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake, there is arguably no better tactic than to recruit the man who has four Champions League winners’ medals to his name.
If the report is accurate, the Spanish veteran could be handed a two-year deal and at this stage in his career, such an opportunity for the centre-back would be too good to turn down.
Given that Manchester United are also in the market for a centre-back and were close to snapping up Ramos in 2015, the Red Devils could also enter the race if he is interested in moving to the Premier League.
Youssef En-Nesyri
It’s no surprise Europe’s top clubs are monitoring En-Nesyri’s progress after a stellar season with Sevilla and he could be set for a big-money move this summer.
The Moroccan has been lethal in front of goal, bagging 24 goals in 51 appearances, including six in the Champions League before their elimination at the last-16 knockout stage.
West Ham were closely tracking the 23-year-old in January after selling Sebastian Haller but had a £27m bid rejected by the LaLiga outfit. However, The Evening Standard suggest they could return for him this summer.

However, with a Europa League campaign to look forward to next season after finishing sixth in the Premier League, the Hammers may consider reviving their interest.
The former Malaga striker is unlikely to come cheap, having only signed from Leganes for £18million in January 2020, and Sevilla will be reluctant to part with their first-choice frontman.
But with a strong frame, aerial presence and proven record of scoring in Spain, it suggests En-Nesyri would be worth splashing out for.
Pau Torres
As Villarreal stunned Manchester United to win the Europa League following a tense penalty shootout, local hero Pau Torres revelled in the occasion as they celebrated through the small town of Vila-Real.
But the centre-back might not be sticking around for too long with his hometown club after his performance in Gdansk caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Torres is expected to start at the centre of Spain’s backline at Euro 2020 this summer after a superb season for Unai Emery’s side and the 24-year-old has already won seven caps for his country.
The left-footed defender is a calm and collected in possession but also shows his bravery in challenges and aerial duels, suggesting he would be a perfect fit for interested parties from England.
There may be some temptation on his part to stick around for one final season at Estadio de las Ceramicas, but with his release clause reported to be set at £61m, he may decide to leave if a team comes calling.
Carlos Soler
A disastrous season both on and off the pitch for Valencia did at least have one shining light amongst the darkness — their academy graduate Carlos Soler.
Without the 24-year-old’s contributions, Los Che could have quite easily found themselves involved in the relegation scrap.
But Soler’s 11 goals and eight assists, which account for 38 per cent of Valencia’s goals in LaLiga this season, helped keep the club safe for another season despite their off-field problems.
The downside of Soler leading by example at Mestalla is that his displays have not gone unnoticed and they could lose the highly-rated Spaniard, who can operate as a central midfielder or winger.
The Daily Star report Arsenal have reportedly been tracking the winger since January and with Valencia’s crippling financial debt, they could be forced to cash in for a cut-price £25m fee this summer.
Jon Moncayola
A relatively-unknown player outside of Spain, Osasuna’s wide midfielder Moncayola is the subject of a tug-of-war between West Ham and Crystal Palace.
The 23-year-old played a key role in helping the Pamplona outfit in achieving 11th place in LaLiga, missing only two games this season and scoring twice.
According to Spanish publication AS, West Ham and Palace are both considering making bids for his services after impressing onlooking scouts, with a release clause of just £10.5m making him a low-risk option.
The Premier League pair could face a fight with newly-promoted Watford and Atalanta for his signature, and the Serie A outfit represent an attractive option after qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Moncayola will be in no hurry to decide his future, given that his current deal does not expire until 2024 at El Sadar.
But after appearing for the Spain Under-21s this season, he may conclude that a big move will boost his chances of breaking into the senior squad.
