FiveThirtyEight claim Man City have a 70 per cent chance of winning the EPL

FiveThirtyEight, a website that uses statistical analysis to tell stories, have claimed that Manchester City have a 70 per cent chance of winning the Premier League this season.

According to the data, Arsenal are likely to finish second and have a 14 per cent chance of winning the title, while it is 75 per cent likely that Mikel Arteta's team will qualify for the Champions League.

Although Arsenal are currently top of the table by one point, it is anticipated that City will finish first.

It is also suggested that Liverpool (62 per cent) and Chelsea (49 per cent) will finish in the top four, with Tottenham (47 per cent) and Manchester United (26 per cent) missing out.

United are said to have a 26 per cent chance of securing Champions League qualification and just a 1 per cent chance of winning the league.

Brighton have a 19 per cent chance of getting into the top four, with Newcastle having a 12 per cent chance.

With regards to the relegation places, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham are all tipped to go down, with Forest finishing bottom.

It is claimed that Forest have a 73 per cent chance of being relegated to the Championship.

Wolves, Southampton and Leicester are also said to be at risk of suffering relegation.
