Joey Barton watched his Fleetwood Town side suffer defeat against his former club Burnley in a pre-season friendly at Highbury Stadium.
Young left-winger Ali Koiki struck the opener on the turn just before the break and Chris Wood added a second from close range during the second half to earn the Premier League side victory.
Barton made 40 appearances as he helped the Clarets win promotion from the Championship in 2015/16, before returning to play 18 games in the Premier League the following season and then retiring.
