Paul Pogba delivered a stirring speech in the tunnel to his Manchester United team-mates before producing a masterclass performance as they beat Huddersfield on Boxing Day.
Footage has emerged of the United midfielder rallying the troops and reminding them of their responsibilities as they prepared to step out on to the Old Trafford pitch for their pre-game warm-up.
Pogba could be heard in the video saying: 'When we go we go... pressing first ones! Now we're at home. We go strong, we start strong!'
The Frenchman had been United's vice-captain during Jose Mourinho's tenure but was stripped of that earlier this season with the Portuguese boss believing he lacked the maturity and commitment to flourish in the role.
However, since Mourinho's departure, Pogba has looked a transformed man both on and off the pitch.
The 25-year-old World Cup winner spent Mourinho's final three Premier League games in charge in exile on the bench, humiliated by his failure to earn a place in an underachieving United team.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's arrival has brought about a change and United's £89million record signing seems happy at the club again.
He's been given freedom to express himself and Solskjaer's decision has already garnered results with Pogba playing an influential role in United's back-to-back wins over Cardiff and Huddersfield.
The midfielder set up two at Cardiff and bagged a brace on Wednesday afternoon to help United see off Huddersfield.
'He must be allowed to enjoy his football,' Solskjaer told Norwegian TV after the match.
'He's a world champion. He is one of the world's best when he is in shape. I worked with him when he was young. He is still the same boy. He is happy, smiling and loves football.'
