Arsenal heroes rolled back the years to come together for a gathering of legends on Tuesday - including a number of their famed 'Invincibles' squad.

Success looks to be on the horizon again for the north London club with Mikel Arteta's current crop chasing a first Premier League title since the Gunners went unbeaten over 38 games back in the 2003/04 season.

That 19-year wait has felt pretty gloomy at times, though smiles are back on faces once more, including those of Arsenal's icons from yesteryear as they met for a reunion meal, with some forgotten faces also along for the occasion.

The likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Jens Lehmann, Martin Keown, Robert Pires and Ray Parlour were all involved and were part of that much-heralded group led by Arsene Wenger.

Ian Wright and Lee Dixon had left the club by the time of the '03-04 triumph, but remain firm favourites with fans nonetheless for their exploits in an Arsenal shirt. Gael Clichy and Jeremie Aliadiere were also along for the celebration, even though they were only youngsters on the fringes of the first team at the time of the momentous feat.

Making up the strong party was Darren Dein, son of ex-Arsenal director David, whose father appointed Wenger as manager and played a significant role in turning the club into the modern force it is today.

Wright uploaded two pictures to his social media accounts, captioned: "Lovely dinner with the lads #OnceAlways."

The meal may have come at the perfect time for former captain Vieira, to take his mind away from his recent sacking as manager of Crystal Palace. He, along with Henry, are pursuing coaching careers, though both are now currently out of work.

Henry is regularly seen as a pundit, while Dixon, Keown and Parlour are all frequently involved in the media side of the game, too. Clichy is the only one still playing but is currently injured so has been unavailable for his club, Swiss outfit Servette.
