Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F are close to appointing Giovanni van Bronckhorst as their new coach, replacing Serbian coach Dragan Stojkovic.
Stojkovic has been with the club since 2015, leading them to 11th in the league last season.
Van Bronckhorst enjoyed great success in his last spell in the dug-out with Feyenoord between 2015 and 2019, winning one Eredivisie, two KNVB Cups and two Dutch Super Cups.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona defender then moved on to the City Football Group to learn from Pep Guardiola and became a potential candidate to replace him at the Etihad Stadium, but he will now move to China as his next adventure.
