Sad news has hit Spanish football this Thursday, with Juan Carlos Unzue having been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) - also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
The former goalkeeper, former Barcelona assistant and former Celta Vigo and Girona head coach will announce this Thursday through a statement that he has the progressive nervous system disease.
He'll launch a fighting message as he faces the challenges of this terrible disease that can lead to paralysis and that has no known cure.
