Former Arsenal, Sunderland and Celtic striker Anthony Stokes is joining Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
The much-travelled 30-year-old is scheduled to have a medical on Tuesday with the ambitious First Division club who also boast former Manchester United midfielder Anderson in their squad.
Stokes is expected to agree a two-year contract with an option for a further year.
He was a free agent after a dispute over unpaid salary with his previous club Tractor Sazi in Azerbaijan, who were managed by John Toshack.
Former Republic of Ireland international Stokes, who scored 76 goals in 191 appearances for Celtic, scored 11 goals in 23 appearances while with Tractor in Azerbaijan but uncertainty about the club's project and finances prompted an early departure
His goalscoring reputation prompted interest from several English clubs including offers from ambitious Salford City and the prospective new owners of Bolton Wanderers, but Stokes is poised to sign for Adana in southern Turkey on Tuesday.
