Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa is now a free agent after Atletico Mineiro terminated his contract.
The 33-year-old joined the Brazilian side in August last year having been released by Atletico Madrid in December 2020.
Costa scored four goals in 15 appearances as his side won the domestic double but he's now, once again, without a club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano Tweeted: 'Diego Costa has reached an agreement with Atletico Mineiro to terminate his contract and part ways with immediate effect. #transfers.
'Former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker's gonna be now available on a free transfer. #Galo'.
Costa could return to Spain according to Tribal Football. They claim LaLiga duo Caldiz and Elche, as well as LaLiga 2 side Eibar, are all interested in the striker.
He was in the headlines last month after he was seen cruising round the streets of Brazil in a tractor after Atletico Mineiro sealed a domestic double.
During his time in west London, Costa became a fans-favourite. He scored 52 goals in 89 Premier League games - winning two titles and the League Cup during that time.
Costa also has an impressive goal record for Spain having scored 10 goals in 25 games after switching from the Brazil national team.
