Taylor-Fletcher has replaced the injured Gilmour in Scotland's World Cup squad for this summer, and former Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has shared his thoughts on the matter.

"You've just lost Gilmour and brought in Taylor-Fletcher, but he has absolutely no experience," a reporter said to Gordon Strachan.
"I do find it a bit strange that he's had so few opportunities at Man United," Gordon Strachan replied.
The reporter then asked, "There's also a kid playing in Italy, Lennon-Miller... he's been playing regularly, but he wasn't selected."
"That's right, but nobody has seen him play, and nobody knows how he performs. Let's just say he hasn't been on our radar," Gordon Strachan responded.
"So, you replaced Gilmour with Taylor-Fletcher, and I recall that he only played 17 minutes for Man United," the reporter added.
Gordon Strachan then stated, "This goes back to what I said before: to be selected for the national team, you have to be in top competitive form. I think there are other midfielders in the Scottish Premiership who are performing well and are more deserving of such an opportunity."
